Some Will Forget wins Best UK Short at Open City Documentary Festival
Ruth Grimberg’s documentary on the closure of the last mine in Britain was praised for it’s warm, uncliched storytelling and beautiful cinematography.
Open City Documentary Festival creates an open space in London to nurture and champion the art of creative documentary and non-fiction filmmakers. The festival takes place over six days in venues across London and the programme offers a chance to see the best in contemporary, international documentary as well as filmmaker Q&As, industry panels, workshops, networking and parties.
We were thrilled that Ruth Grimberg's film was the recipient of this year's Best UK Short Award. The film will be screening at other festivals over the coming months, and you can read more about it here
