'Pen Portraits' of Grenfell victims played at Inquiry
Over the last few months we have been working with the families of those who perished in the fire at Grenfell Tower last June to create Pen Portraits to be shown at the official Inquiry this June.
Relatives have opened their homes and hearts to us as we worked together with them to make films that accurately and poignantly captured the essence of lives lost. Their grief is overwhelming, their loss still sharp and their sorrow will deepen as the days pass and milestones are missed.
Through this, we have come to love their relatives although we have never met them.
Today, these films began to be shown. This is, hands down, one of the most difficult but worthwhile projects we've done and we hope some justice can come from the pain.
Today, the Grenfell Inquiry heard statements from relatives of those who perished in the fire at Grenfell Tower last June. Some of those statements were films - pen portraits - guided by the families and their lawyers.
Disobedient are proud to be involved in making some the pen portraits for the Inquiry.
